First: Auto-convert Errors Bringing the tengwar into the dictionary is a nice idea, but I foresee a problem. This actually was a problem with ElfDict that I found too... The Latin orthography doesn't exactly match how words would be spelled in Tengwar/Cirth. For example, in the Latin orthography, both PH and F stand for the sound /f/, and both V and F stand for the sound /v/. I stands for bother /i/ and /j/ in Latin orthography, and in the Classical mode of Tengwar and in the Cirth they are written differently; both /ŋɡw/ and /ŋw/ are written NGW in Latin orthography, but differently in Cirth and Tengwar. This means when you write up an auto-convert script, like they did at Elfdict, some of the words will be automatically spelled incorrectly. This is why ElfDict eventually dropped that feature of their website all together - too many spelling errors. Every single word would have to be entered by hand. Second: punctuation. Yes, we know how to do punctuation. Here's an excellent guide: at.mansbjorkman.net/teng_punctuation.htmI wrote about it for Cirth: (basically - more dots = more pause) your-sindarin-textbook.realelvish.net/index.php?id=16So, the symbol system needs to include it.
