This is just some ideas that we can throw around and dream of adding to the next version.
1.
Group the texts by Sentence, so the count starts again at 1 for each sentence. This will make reordering the words MUCH, MUCH easier, since you won't have the numbers going into the hundreds all over the place. Even short, 30 word texts very quickly become difficult after 10 words.
The way this would work is that in the database there would be an extra column for Sentence Number.
So, Sentence #1:
[1] Ae! [1] Oh!
[2] Gawa [4] howls!
[3] i [2] The
[4] hûl! [3] wind
Sentence #2:
[1] I [1] The
[2] firin [2] dead
[3] i [3] who
[4] chuiar [4] live
[5] nîdh [5] will
[6] 'we [7] us!
[7] maded! [6] eat
Sentence #3:
[1] Hartho [2] hope
[2] $n [1] I
[3] i [3] that
[4] ochule [5] closed
[5] $g [4] you
[6] i [6] the
[7] annon! [7] gate!
And so on. This would make editing a lot easier and faster.
2.
Move the number of columns displayed on the page to something that the author sets for each document, not the admin of the whole website. That way, people using it as a teaching aid can customize how they use it just a little bit more.
3.
Let there be chapters to the documents. This way all of the parts of a multi-part work can be easily found and listed in the order that the author wants for them.
4.
Make new word inserting a button that appears between every single entry-line. That'll make it much easier to insert missed words. Or, put the new word insert button at the end of every sentence, as shown in #1.
5.
Allow the admin to feature one of the works (just the link, title, description, author and tags, not the whole work) on the landing page. Make it settable to just the latest one to be published, or one that the admin sets.
6.
Make the Dictionary and Syntax tree auto-made pages that people can browse. This'll help the authors figure out how to use the syntax annotations and the dictionary entries more effectively.
Anyone else have any ideas?
